Connect with employers who recognize military experience, and are actively hiring Transitioning Service Members and Veterans for a wide range of roles across industries. In the days leading up to the event, Transitioning Service Members and Veterans are invited to participate in preliminary virtual workshops focused on creating effective resumes, navigating job fairs with confidence, and identifying supportive, veteran-friendly employers.

The Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program is dedicated to connecting Transitioning Servicemembers, National Guard/Reservists, Veterans, military spouses, and dependents with vital referrals and peer-to-peer support tailored to their unique needs. Additionally, the program equips employers with strategies to successfully recruit, hire, train, and retain Virginia Veterans, recognizing the exceptional skills and leadership they bring from military service. Hiring Veterans is not only a meaningful commitment to those who have served—it’s also a strategic advantage for companies seeking to enhance organizational performance and long-term growth.

Virginia Works is the Commonwealth’s agency for workforce development and advancement. We connect people to careers and employers to skilled talent. Anyone who needs career transition assistance or job search support, can access Virginia Works’ suite of services as well as other partner services in person through American Job Centers across the Commonwealth. Centers are open daily to provide resume writing, job search assistance, and referrals to specialty programs for training and education working with our partner agencies including the Department of Veterans Services, Department of Aging and Rehabilitation, Adult Education, and more.

The Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program offers this free virtual employer training event on nationally recognized best practices in recruiting, hiring and retaining military job seekers and military spouses. Earn Virginia certification as a V3-Certified Employer after your organization learns how military affiliated job seekers can be the ideal solution to your talent needs! Attendees will earn free SHRM & HRCI credits.

Mentorship: How To Become an ACP Protege

ACP’s free Mentoring Program connects post-9/11 Veterans, Active-Duty Spouses and eligible Military Spouses (Protégés) with corporate professionals (Mentors) for customized mentorships. ACP assists Veterans and eligible Spouses on their path towards fulfilling, long-term careers, whether the Veteran is job searching or newly employed.

Typical mentorship goals include:

The Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program provides tailored support to military families, strategic partners, and employers across the Commonwealth of Virginia to ensure that every veteran can reach their fullest potential. The V3 Program assesses, coordinates, and disseminates opportunities for members of the Armed Forces and their spouses transitioning from military to civilian life. This includes pathways to employment, career readiness, vocational training, education, and entrepreneurship. Virginia Works is the department of workforce development and advancement. Veterans from all periods of military service are eligible for job referral, job training and job placement assistance through Virginia Works. Employers may register at 2025 Transitioning Service Members and Veterans Virtual Hiring Event . Once your registration application has been approved, you will be sent a link that contains your user name and password to access your dashboard. You will then have access to customize your virtual booth and post the jobs you in which you are actively hiring.
In an effort to help better serve our Veteran job seekers, we ask that all employers have someone available from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
